What is URJiit?

The Undergraduate Research Journal at Illinois Institute of Technology (URJiit) is an academic journal that publishes thought-provoking, experience-based undergraduate research submitted by students in all disciplines at IIT, Shimer, and VanderCook. It provides a platform for undergraduate students’ findings to be peer reviewed and showcased among the academic community, and seeks to encourage and reward research across all undergraduate disciplines in affiliated schools by providing a forum for discussion and exploration of student research projects designed to cultivate intellectual curiosity.

URJiit originally grew from the Fall 2010 section of IPRO 321: Establishing an Undergraduate Research Journal. By encouraging and rewarding research across all undergraduate disciplines at the university, the team believed that a distinctive and enriching educational environment could be developed to help undergraduate students become leaders and innovators.  Read more
