URJ IIT
-UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH JOURNAL @ IIT-
The History of URJiit
URJiit originally grew from the Fall 2010 section of IPRO 321: Establishing an Undergraduate Research Journal.
Previous IPRO 321 teams focused on creating a website containing information about undergraduate research opportunities on campus, which led to the development of ResearchWeb in April 2010 in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Research.
The Fall 2010 team developed a comprehensive plan for the founding of an IIT undergraduate research journal and its implementation in Spring 2011, URJiit. By encouraging and rewarding research across all undergraduate disciplines at the university, the team believed that a distinctive and enriching educational environment would be developed for undergraduate students to become leaders and innovators.
